The existing building is defined by two identical constructions in contact along the longitudinal axis with the main use as a craft space.
It was an elongated quadrilateral in plan with dimensions of 61.50m. by 34m. approximately and a height of 10.95m. It consists in its current state and form of a basement, semi-basement, ground floor, first (A) floor above the ground floor and attic. The floor plan of the floors is distinguished by a large single space which is characterized by the particular shape of the roof slab with large panels and constituted the production area of 820 sq.m. approximately for each building and on the south side the office space, staircase and elevator.
The three sides of the building, east, west and north, are characterized by the arrangement in a row of large iron glazing units, measuring approximately 4.60m. x 2.20m., which allow diffuse natural lighting and ventilation of the production and work areas.
On the south side on Legaki Street, a continuous glazing unit with aluminum frames extends.
The spaces of the buildings are not altered but are maintained as they are with their basic spatial characteristics and WC areas, warehouses and areas for the MEP installations necessary for the building to operate with its new use are added to the floors.
Access to the property will now be mainly for the public from Ritsou Street and the entrances from Legaki Street will also be maintained. Entrance to all floors can be made directly from the outside or from the inside via the existing two staircases and the two existing elevators.
More specifically, in the two basements, which will remain separated, the central single space of 842 sq.m. and 834 sq.m. each will host various cultural activities. The main entrance is from the two ramps on the eastern and western boundaries of the plot. At the end of the ramps at the entrance to the basements, there is a cloakroom area.
