The aim of the project is to redevelop and reorganize urban fabric by providing a new functionality aimed at satisfying some important needs of the local community, and to enhance the place, facing the sea, through tourist attraction strategies.
The project is structured into three clearly legible areas:
• The first, facing the Town Square, where the restoration of the existing architecture is planned and the preparation of a courtyard dedicated mainly to public greenery that serves the three new municipal structures hosted there: the library, the clinic and the multipurpose rooms. It is also proposed to restore the vegetable gardens with medicinal herbs for educational purposes.
• In the central area of the plot, which represents the connection between the first and the third, the project proposes a large green area divided into two thematic zones, one used as a grove of maritime pines and one as a citrus grove with the provision of a body of water. In this area there are also the required parking lots, adequately screened by shrubs, such as oleanders and tamarisks. The area is crossed both by the driveway at the southern edge of the plot and by pedestrian paths.
• In the third area, the one facing the sea, the project proposes a single courtyard building. This typology allows the aggregation of the different functions while maintaining, at the same time, a unitary image typical of an institutional structure.
