The architectural practice PiSaA, based in Athens (Greece) and in Barcelona (Spain) was set up in 2007, arising from the professional partnership of Domenico Piemonte (Italy) and Katerina Samsarelou (Greece)
PiSaA won in 2008, the competition for 42 social housing in Oristano, in 2009 the competition for the redevelopment of an industrial structure in Sona (Vr) and the third place awarded by the 4th Architectural Prize Ernesto Lusana for the construction of 15 experimental housing in Rome. In 2010, PiSaA is selected to participate in the VI Biennale of Young Architects in Athens (Hellenic Institute of Architecture). In 2012, the practice is amongst the New Italian Blood TOP10 Award. In 2013 PiSaA is invited to participate in the exhibition “Erasmus Effects” in the MAXXI Museum of Rome.
In the field of housing they have developed several projects that go from collective housing to high standing standards.
In the field of professional architecture they have participated in many international and restricted contests associated with Carlos Ferrater Partnership (OAB).
Actually they are developing, among others: “Piccaro sul Mare”, a housing complex, 5* Hotel, botanical garden and natural park in Liguria, a 4* Hotel with public facilities in Calabria and “Gran Torre Golf”, a tourist complex surrounded by a 18 hole golf course in Sardinia. In Greece they are building holiday homes in different islands of the Aegean Sea.
Currently, PiSaA is preparing new projects dedicated to the integration between architecture and territorial strategy.
